Yiros is their customers favourite choice, the Greek God of the Menu, and they never compromise on flavour! A Yiros is your favourite protein, Tzatziki, Tomato, Onion & crispy golden chips, all wrapped up in fluffy fresh Pita Bread.

Commune Cafe, with its distinctive vintage design and organic food focus, is located just over the freeway from Burleigh Esplanade and provides light meals and coffee.

Commune is one of Burleigh’s most popular coffee shops. With a renovated Art Deco structure, which was previously a butcher’s shop, has been decked out with vintage furniture, posters, and artwork and has a relaxed, trendy vibe.

For breakfast lovers, you can order delicious menu items such as a refreshing açai bowl, a ‘morning burger’ (fried eggs, bacon, caramelised onion), freshly smashed avocado toast, and pancakes with a range of toppings.

Lunch items include share plates of bruschetta, spring rolls, pizzas, Vietnamese pork belly salad, and pastas. They also offer a range of cakes and baked goods at the counter, with gluten free and vegan options, if you are craving something sweet!

Demographics

Recent census data shows that the population in Burleigh Heads sits at 10,088 with the average age being 20-39. 62% are owner-occupiers as opposed to 38% renters and there is a larger percentage of singles at 59% to families at 41%. Whilst being a relatively popular area for tourists due to its high-density infrastructure and holiday accommodation, it’s still a great area for young families and professionals thanks to its bustling social scene and beautiful parks and beaches.

Schools

Queensland has set catchment areas based on geographical locations so this will determine what state school your child can be enrolled in. Burleigh Heads is within the catchment for Caningberah State School (Prep to Year 6 – Primary) and Varsity College for Year 7-12. Private school options in the area include Hillcrest Christian College, Marymount College, Kings Christian College and Somerset College.
